‘It’s Too Late’ Will be Track of the Day
I have won all kinds of awards on there now including #1 and # 2 Most Original Pop Song of all time with ‘Run’ and ‘It’s Too Late’.
I love this site, because I connect with musicians all over the world.
East Coast Tour
I’m just back from our Atlanta to DC tour. There’s a lot I want to write, but I’m off to the Willie Nelson concert tonight. We played 9 shows in 9 nights… spent two of those sleeping in the car. Last night was one of those. We got to BWI and decided to just get a few hours of shut eye in before we returned the car. The Thrifty Rental car man discovered us on his lot at 3:30am. He was actually really cool. He brought us the paper work and checked the car back in without us having to wake all the way up. Then he came and got us when the first airport shuttle of the morning arrived.
From now on, Buffalo Speedway is required to bring more than one pair of jeans on any tour longer than 3 nights. OFFICIAL BAND RULE #1

THE SHANTOOZY IN THE ORANGE LIGHT
(“Writing About Music Is Like Dancing About Architecture”)
by Jamie Yeager
An old Irish flag is pinned to the wall above her head;
The bartenders wear knitted caps in the autumn chill;
The crowd is young, urban, loud, sleek, satisfied,
Employed, fully universitied, partially propertied.
Sprung from a Texas family
That was bilingual in deception and violence,
Now her throat wails out
The millenium’s-worth of torment
Contained in any single tear.
Her youth is no defence against knowledge;
Yet she is neither jaded nor blase.
Whatever she is, she is not, thank God, innocent.
She bends notes like
A Sicilian sheet metal artisan forming a Ferrari panel,
A sailing junk wavering against the Chinese wind,
Or the cascading, coruscating waters of March in Brazil.
Rock-ribbed song structures are
Hung with incomparable chords:
Anemones on a reef.
Standing at the microphone in the smoky noise,
Her melodies pierce the spotlight;
The spotlight pierces, not her, but the gloom.
