I have been invited to participate in a Tertulia (an Iberian tradition – a of social gathering of poetry, short stories, other writings, artwork, often in a salon setting)  at The Continental Club Gallery this Saturday evening, June 9, 8:00pm-10:00pm

featuring James McMurtry, Spike Gillespie, Wayne Allen Brenner, Sarah Sharp, Jon Dee Graham, Mike Meadows, Jena Kirkpatrick, Nathan Brown, & a couple surprises! w/ Robert Ashker Kraft, Kellie Salome, Gretchen Harries Graham.

I am showing up with no expectations and a lot of anticipation for one seriously cool hang. I think I will sing 1-2 songs with Buffalo Speedway accompanying me on guitar.

The next day, Jitterbug Vipers have a big show at Kerrville Folk Festival!  We will also be in Dallas soon. (Schedule below). We continue a soft release of our new CD, ‘Tell ‘Em Joe Sent You’.  You can now download our only original tune on the CD, ‘Viper Moon’.  Popular consensus is that this is our hit.   The whole album is available at shows and at Waterloo Records. Listen to some of the songs!

Kaliyo update:  Andrea Perry is putting the finishing touches on our newest batch of songs. 12 new tunes that we started maybe 2 months ago. We are knocking them out.  I’m enjoying the process of having no time to think, second guess, over-analyze. A song or more per week. We have done close to 50 songs together in 20 months.  This is going to be a goooood batch. I feel it. FirstCom gets first dibs and we hope they keep buying our music.  We are also available for hire! You can read all about our recent success here.
