In this music town, it’s such a relief to find a singer-songwriter who writes songs about life that actually say something and who sings with a voice that mesmerizes.  Sarah Sharp does both.

On the Houston native’s debut EP “Out of Nowhere,” her voice rings true and pure but is smooth and smoky too, on tunes like “Not Scared” and “After You’re Gone” which is airing on KGSR, KUT, and KOOP.

The funny “Finally” is about possible reasons a man hasn’t called, and when she performs it, whole audiences of women cheer.

Sharp was ranked in the Top 10 of the city’s jazz performers in the Austin Chronicle Music Awards. To learn more, visit www.sarahsharp.com

Check out these lyrics from “Finally.”  You’ll agree that Sarah Sharp is a name worth repeating.

“There you are

I’ve been waiting… just to see your face

Hear your explanation

Was it pirates or a terrorist invasion?

Were you kidnapped by the Foreign Legion?

Was there an accident?

Were you lost at sea?

Amnesia?

Did you find your memory?

Was the one thing that kept you alive…me?

I’m so glad you’re back –

Finally!” - E.E.
